No prior social media knowledge is assumed in this course, but it is NOT for beginners. 

The program will suit people with a sound business, marketing, sales or communications background who need a digital top-up. For instance, you have been given expanded digital responsibilities as part of your work role, are returning to the workforce after an extended leave, embarking on a career move, bringing digital responsibilities in-house after using an agency, or are about to set up your own business.

Social Media Advanced

  • Prerequisite: 3+ years of experience using social media within an organisational context, or completion of the net101 'Social Media & Digital Fast-Track' course.
  • Recommended net101 course to do afterwards: Specialised options include 'Advanced Facebook Ads', or 'Advanced Instagram Marketing'.    

You already know social, now it’s time to get strategic. By the end of the day you’ll have a clearer, more structured, more business-like approach to social media.
 
The course will be useful if you have responsibility for the formulation of a social media strategy or the need to present an internal business-case; or maybe you’re currently outsourcing your socials and you’d like to reappraise what you’re getting for your investment.

Google Analytics (+ Friends)

  • Perquisites: You have Google Analytics set up on your website already, and have poked around a report or two.

This is primarily a Google Analytics (GA) course but we will also cover three other free and useful applications to provide you with a more detailed picture of how well your website is currently performing, and importantly, where it can be improved:

  • Google Search Console – useful as a website health check, and for advanced organic search analysis
  • Google Tag Manager – used to easily manage your website tracking tags, especially those used for social media retargeting campaigns
  • Generic keyword ranking tools – used to analyse your keyword ranking performance
